Overview

VinBidders is a digital marketplace designed to help owners of luxury and exotic vehicles sell their cars quickly and efficiently by connecting them directly with dealerships. The platform offers a streamlined alternative to traditional auction sites, emphasizing speed, trust, and value in a modern digital experience.

I partnered with the client to develop the foundational brand and early product design for the platform, delivering a logo, brand identity, homepage wireframe, and initial marketing assets on an accelerated timeline.

Background

The client approached me with a clear vision to build a brand that felt modern, efficient, and trustworthy while still reflecting the prestige of the luxury and exotic car market. Although VinBidders is not a SaaS product, the client wanted the design language to borrow from SaaS and tech platforms to communicate clarity, reliability, and speed.

Because the platform connects individual sellers directly with dealerships, the brand needed to establish credibility and professionalism on both sides of the marketplace. Creating a sense of trust and efficiency was a central goal of the visual system.

Process

To establish direction quickly, I developed three distinct moodboards titled Velocity, Alloy, and Pedigree. Each explored a different visual territory ranging from tech-inspired interface design to more experimental mechanical aesthetics and classic automotive heritage.

The client selected Velocity, which emphasized speed, digital clarity, and efficiency. From there, I designed a logo built around an interlocking V and B monogram intended to feel precise and frictionless, echoing the streamlined experience the platform aims to provide.

Brand System

The identity system pairs the monogram with the sans serif typeface Vinila, whose subtle ink traps introduce character while maintaining the clean, contemporary tone associated with modern technology platforms.

Color exploration played an important role in shaping the brand. After reviewing early identity applications, the client asked to see how the system could translate across several palette directions. The final palette combines a British racing inspired green with a brighter volt green, reflecting the range of vehicles on the platform from classic performance cars to modern exotics while reinforcing the brand’s balance of heritage and innovation.

Result

The final deliverables included a complete launch-ready identity system, homepage wireframes, and initial social and marketing assets. I also created brand mockups to demonstrate how the system could extend across the website and other marketing touchpoints.

The client was thrilled with the outcome and we plan to continue expanding the brand with additional social assets and digital advertisements as the platform grows.
